Town of Jay Supervisor Archie Depo is pleased to announce that as a result of an application submitted by his office, the Town of Jay has been awarded a $2000 Community Grant from the Ironman Foundation. An Ironman representative from the Community Relations Office stated that “The Ironman Foundation was pleased to support the Town of Jay with this $2000 Grant in conjunction with the 20th year of Ironman Lake Placid”.

The application process involved the selection of a group or project within the Township that would benefit most from this donation. It was determined that the Au Sable Forks Senior Citizen Club would be the recipient if we were chosen. Supervisor Depo stated ” What better group could we give this money to than our wonderful seniors? This grant will allow them many opportunities to travel and gather for meals that otherwise may have been cost prohibitive. With so many of them on fixed incomes, this award gives the club the opportunity to offset the costs of these events making them affordable to those who otherwise may have been unable to attend”.
